Joe here with all the latest. Well, most of the latest. Some. The comedy Couple Retreat took tops at the Box Office this weekend, earning $34.3 million. The rest? As follows: 2) Zombieland: $14.8 million 3) Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs: $11.5 million 4) Paranormal Activity: $7.9 million 5) Toy Story/2 3D: $7.7 million Now for the strange, wacky world of Hollywood decision making: Fox is going to re-tell the story of Moses...300 style. Because, you know, that totally makes sense. Bryan Singer gets closer to maybe turning X-Men back into a kick-ass franchise. The "very really good great" idea for ID4 v2 has been stalled by Fox not wanting to give all their money to Will Smith. Because you all - over there, you guys - asked for it: Batman. Versus. Blade. In gaming news, tis a good week to be a console gamer. Uncharted 2 - currently running a staggering 97/100 on Metacritic - comes out on Tuesday. Steve and I are all over that one. Brutal Legend also comes out, and IGN, at least, likes it. Steam is running a week-long special with different deals every day. Check 'er out. Of course, Direct2Drive had the same deal that Steam has today for $5 less a couple weeks ago...but still.
Retrogaming...remember the goodness that was Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight? If you never played - or if you did play but never made a strangely huge custom map because you paid no attention to scale - they you were missing out. Great stuff...but was it this great? And: land sharks. Beat that. |
