Joe here with the latest from the weekend. Money. The Box Office wasn't huge this weekend, but it did see Paranormal Activity advance into more screens and deliver a beating to Saw VI. Paranormal garnered $21.1 million, with Saw VI earning $14.1 to take second place. Where the Wild Things Are fell from first to third, taking in an additional $14.0 million; Law Abidding Citizen took fourth with $12.4 million, and Couples Retreat took fifth with $10.6 million. Big news today out of Netflix: instant streaming from the service is coming to the PS3 in November. Microsoft's 360 will no longer have that as a feather in its cap. Rumors abound about a Rocky 7...rumors that are categorically untrue, says Aint It Cool News. And there is some strong evidence that James Cameron may have...ahem..."borrowed" elements of a classic science fiction novella when he wrote Avatar. This would not be the first time he's been accused of plagarism: there was a similar Terminator scandal a few years back. In game news, there is a new Bioshock 2 single player trailer out. Like to kill zombies? Watch here. Champions Online is having a free weekend this coming weekend. That was fast. Gametrailers has a video preview for Assassin's Creed II, which still has a release date of Nov 17 according to that site and Amazon. Hmm... And Shacknews has an inteview with the composer behind the epic-creepy (creepy-epic?) music of Torchlight, which comes out tomorrow. He's the man behind the Diablo music, as well.
